My name is June, and I am a qualified, registered counsellor providing telehealth counselling to adults across Australia.
Over the past four years, I have supported people experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges and life transitions through both community mental health services and nationally delivered telehealth counselling programs. Throughout this time, I have worked with people navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship changes, grief, identity, and the many uncertainties that life can bring.
Throughout my career, I have been trusted with supporting clients, colleagues, and mental health teams and services through times of challenge, change, and growth. Alongside direct counselling, I have held leadership and operational roles supporting multidisciplinary mental health teams and the delivery of telehealth services. My experience includes working alongside and mentoring counsellors, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, and other helping professionals, while helping to strengthen the quality of care, clinical systems, and client experience across nationally delivered telehealth mental health programs.
These experiences have shaped the calm, collaborative, and practical approach I bring to counselling today. They have reinforced my belief that effective support is built on genuine relationships, thoughtful care, and understanding that every person's journey is unique.
These experiences have given me a broad understanding not only of counselling itself, but of the wider mental health system, crisis response, and the importance of providing care that is ethical, collaborative, and person-centred.
While I value the experience I gained working within larger organisations, I chose to establish Crossroads Counselling Online because I wanted to create something different.
Private practice allows me to offer counselling in a way that reflects my own values—taking the time to build genuine therapeutic relationships, providing personalised support, and creating a calm, welcoming space where people feel heard rather than hurried.
My work is shaped not only by professional experience but also by lived experience of life's unexpected directions and the challenges that can accompany mental health. Like many people, I understand that life doesn't always unfold as we imagine. I also know that periods of uncertainty can become opportunities for growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
I believe many of life's most significant challenges emerge during times of transition. Whether those transitions are chosen or unexpected, they often invite us to reconsider who we are, what matters most to us, and how we want to move forward.
My work is shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience of life's unexpected directions and the challenges that can accompany mental health. My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a life that feels meaningful to them.
When we work together, you don't need to have everything figured out. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space where we can explore what's happening, make sense of the challenges you're facing, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
I look forward to walking alongside you, wherever you may find yourself on your journey
